A brief introduction

Hello, and thank you for dropping by our website. It was exciting getting this site together and it's kind of funny that it is not what we had originally planned. The concept of launching with custom stickers at first seemed silly, but I'm glad we went with our gut and moved forward with it. We were truly inspired to get this off the ground, and it' has been worth all the work to see it through.

Pat and I both returned to skateboarding after many years of being away from it, As a result, inspiration hit to create some unique sticker designs that we could personalize our decks with. For most of his life, Pat's been creating and drawing characters. The Spilled Ink collection was his idea, to have different characters with the same general theme.

Meanwhile, I'd been spending a chunk of time running my Poshmark closet, and was in need of my next group of "Thank you" stickers to send to my customers. Although I have appreciated the stickers from other sellers and artists, my own sketchpad and pencils were ready for me to use and create the "Hop Skip and Jump" gang of characters to express gratitude in a unique way.

It was a big leap (pardon the pun) to begin creating our own sticker sheets. There were several items needed, and neither of us had experience with either smart cutting machines or printing to sticker sheets. There was a lot to learn and as many of you know, a tight budget makes the learning curve even tighter. We did our research and it's safe to say we made some smart decisions. From creating six original drawings and purchasing our first cutting machine in late October, we were able to get everything together and launch the website on December 30th.

The most difficult part was setting up all the pieces on our website itself. There have been a lot of steps, graphics, and information I did not originally anticipate, but again I did my best to be time-efficient so launch would not be delayed. Although we did not make our original launch on December 1st, our main goal was to launch prior to the new year, and we did it.
